PROCLAMA TION
WHEREAS, Jim Waller has been a Dubuque County Supervisor for twelve years
and has served faithfully, giving much conscientious knowledge,
energy and time to County business; and
WHEREAS, before his terms as County Supervisor, Jim was a dedicated worker
at Local 94, United Auto Workers Union; and
WHEREAS, many worthwhile projects in our community have been initiated,
facilitated, and brought to fruition because of his resourceful and
capable abilities; and
WHEREAS, Jim was a strong believer of cooperation and collaboration between
governmental bodies; and
WHEREAS, Jim has been at the forefront of planning and executing several
important long-term projects for our community, some of which are:
Jail Expansion Project
Vision Iowa/Port of Dubuque Development
Northwest/Southwest Arterial
Courthouse Exterior Renovation Project
Dubuque Industrial Center West
Dubuque Greyhound Park and Casino Expansion
NOW THEREFORE, I, TERRANCE M. DUGGAN, MAYOR OF THE CITY OF
DUBUQUE, IOWA, ON BEHALF OF THE CITY COUNCIL, STAFF AND CITIZENS,
EXTEND A SINCERE THANK YOU TO JIM WALLER FOR HIS MANY YEARS OF
DEDICATED SERVICE TO THE CITY OF DUBUQUE AND DUBUQUE COUNTY. WE
WISH HIM MANY YEARS OF ENJOYABLE RETIREMENT.
