Narrative Description: This property is located in the Jackson Park Historic District. Style/Year: 1876 (Assessor), pre-1891, converted brick carriage house. Physical Description: two-story brick vernacular elongated rectangular plan (22x62) with side gable roof, stone foundation. There were three original west side doors with double rowlock window arches, and one window set between the floors at south of center. No other original openings are apparent, the present window system consisting of half-sized openings set close to the eaves with jack arches. Alterations: one of two elongated carriage houses converted to residences post-1936. No permit data. Landscaping/Setting: occupies the west end of a level lot. 8. Narrative Statement of Significance: Building History: carriage house associated with larger houses at 1376 and 1380 Locust. No sewer th record found. Herald notes May 15, 18, 1877, that the new residence at Bluff and 14 was up a story. Excavations turned up an Odd Fellows seal, buried several feet beneath ground. As of 1972 contained five two-room apartments, all furnished. 1899 no listing for 1390-1392 9.
