session t 5:00 p.m. on
July 6, 2011 in City Hall,
Conference Room B, 50
W. 13th Street.
Present: Mayor Buol,
Council Members,
Braig, Connors, Jones,
Lynch, Resnick, Sutton,
City Attorney Lindahl
Mayor Buol read the
call and stated this is a
special session of the
City Council for the
purpose of conducting
a closed session in
accordance with
Chapter 21.5 (1)(i) of
the Code of Iowa.
CLOSED SESSION
Upon motion Council
went into closed
session in accordance
with Chapter 21.5 1(i)
of the Code of Iowa, to
evaluate the profes-
sional competency of
individuals whose
appointment, hiring,
performance or dis-
charge is being con-
sidered when neces-
sary to prevent need-
less and or irreparable
injury to those
individuals' reputation
and that the indivi-
duals have requested a
closed session.
City Attorney Lindahl
left the closed session
5:16 p.m.
City Council con-
tinued with the Closed
Session with Acting
City Clerk Kevin
Firnstahl.
City Manager Michael
Van Milligen joined the
closed session at 5:35
p.m. and left at 6:14
p.m.
Upon motion Council
reconvened in open
session at 6:23 p.m.
p.m., indicating that
the evaluations had
been completed.
There being no
further business, upon
motion the City Council
adjourned at 6:24 p.m.
