Introduction
The Long Range Planning Advisory Commission has discussed media outlets to assist
with community engagement during the update of the City of Dubuque Comprehensive
Plan.
Discussion
The Commission discussed media coverage for the community. A concern of the
Commission is they estimate Tess than 50% of Dubuque households have access to
CityChannel 8. The Commission recognizes CityChannel 8 as an important resource to
the community and a key source of public information for the Comprehensive Plan
update process.
Requested Action:
By a vote of 6 -0, the Commission respectfully requests City Council explore how
widespread is the lack of CityChannel 8 coverage, and what can be done to increase
access for the Dubuque community.
