APPROVING THE WAGE PLAN AND COMPENSATION PACKAGE FOR
NON-BARGAINING UNIT EMPLOYEES
Whereas, it has been the practice to provide a compensation package to non-
bargaining unit employees similar to the compensation package to be received by
bargaining unit employees; and
Whereas, the proposed wage plan for non-bargaining unit employees represents
an increase of 2.6 percent across the board effective July 1, 2000, which is
consistent with the wage increase to be received by the City's bargaining units.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
DUBUQUE, IOWA:
Section 1. That the wage plan and compensation package for non-bargaining
unit employees is hereby approved.

I have attached the proposed Wage Plan and Compensation Package for Non-
Bargaining Unit Employees for Fiscal Year 2001, which provides for a 2.6% across
the board wage increase effective July 1, 2000. This is consistent with the wage
increase to be received by the City's Bargaining Units, and it is also consistent with
the City Council's Wage Guideline for Fiscal Year 2001. I recommend that the Wage
Plan and Compensation Package for Non-Bargaining Unit Employees be approved. In
order to implement the recommendation, I request that the attached Resolution be
adopted.
