SUBJECT: Crime Stoppers Signs
The Dubuque/Jo Daviess County Chapter of Crime Stoppers has requested
permission to install 20-30 Crime Stoppers signs, with their phone number below
bus stop signs in Dubuque. This is a volunteer group providing this needed service
to our Police Department free of charge. Crime Stoppers will pay for any repair or
replacement of signs, but the City will install the signs.
I respectfully request Mayor and City Council approval of the request.

Dr. Mr. Van Milligen:
I am writing today, per our conversation regarding placement of Crime stopper
signs in the city of Dubuque.
We received a Grant from the Dubuque Racing Association to purchase 250 Crime
stopper signs for Dubuque and Jo Daviess counties.
We would like to request permission to put the signs on signposts, such as the bns
stop signs. We will be responsible for putting up and maintaining the signs.
We are planning on ordering the signs in the next week. If you have any questions,
please feel free to contact me at 588-1415.
