The Dubuque County Historical Society is organizing a committee to discuss and plan the
celebration of the 250th anniversary of the birth of Julien Dubuque. Community celebration of
this important date can help the citizens of Dubuque better understand their history.
We have invited many community organizations to participate, including the Mines of Spain,
Dubuque Museum of Art, Multicultural Family Center, Dubuque Community School District,
Carnegie -Stout Public Library, Dubuque County Conservation, Dubuque Chamber of
Commerce, and Loras Center for Dubuque History. We extend this invitation to City of
Dubuque.
We would be honored if the City can participate by sending a representative to committee
