SUBJECT: March ih Municipal Services Center Tour
A "mid-project" tour of the Munici~al Services Center by the City Council is scheduled
from 5 p.m. on Monday, March i . The tour will be hosted by Mike Portzen of Portzen
Construction Company, Jon Wallenkamp of Kueny Architects, Water Department
Manager Bob Green, Water Distribution Supervisor Mike Brekke, Street and Sewer
Maintenance Supervisor John Klostermann, and Public Works Director Don Vogt. We
have arranged for a small Keyline bus to transport tour participants from the Kerper
Court pavement to and around the new facility's main building. In the main building
itself, participants will not be required to wear hard hats due to the cessation of work
activities by that time of the day. Concrete floors have been poured in approximately a
third of the main building, including the area where the bus will discharge passengers.
That area is also heated and well-lit. Handouts regarding the project have been
prepared and will be distributed to attendees upon their arrival.
Cookies and refreshments will be served.
