VAN MILLlGEN, CITY MANAGER FY 2001 DUBUQUE COUNTY REAP PLAN 06/25/2000 The Dubuque County REAP Committee will meet on August 2, 2000 to approve changes to the REAP Plan and REAP Grant applications for FY 2001. Information must be submitted to the Committee by July 17,2000 for review at this meeting. Planning Services Manager Laura Carstens is recommending submittal of the update for the FY 2001 REAP Plan for Dubuque County. Van Milligen, City Manager FROM: Laura Carstens, Planning Services Manager ~ SUBJECT: FY 2001 Dubuque County REAP Plan INTRODUCTION This memo transmits the recommended update for the City of Dubuque for the FY 2001 REAP (Resource and Enhancement Program) Plan for Dubuque County, and the REAP grant applications that the City plans to submit to implement our portion of the REAP Plan. DISCUSSION The Dubuque County REAP Committee will meet on August 2, 2000 to approve changes to the REAP Plan and REAP grant applications for FY 2001. Information must be submitted to the Committee by July 17 for review at this meeting. Our recommended update for the FY 2001 REAP Plan was developed by Planning Services staff in conjunction with Leisure Services Manager Gil Spence, Administrative Services Manager Pauline Joyce and Assistant City Manager Tim Moerman. Our recommendations are described on the attachment. The REAP grant application that we are recommending for submission this year is for the Granger Creek Nature Trail, the bike/hike trail planned for the Dubuque Technology Park. This grant application is being transmitted to you under separate cover. RECOMMENDA TION Our recommendation is for the City Council to approve submittal of the attached update for the City of Dubuque for the FY 2001 REAP Plan for Dubuque County.
