I ,Ld0-t~-tJ cy; ltzfl WHEREAS, assisted living is a special combination of housing, personalized supportive services and health care designed to respond to the unique needs of individuals that do not need the skilled nursing of a nursing home; and WHEREAS, assisted living promotes maximum independence and dignity for each resident and encourages the involvement of a resident's family, neighbors and friends; and WHEREAS, Sunset Park Place of Dubuque encompasses these unique concepts in assisted living and also provides an early Alzheimers' care living program in its Weiand Gardens unit; and WHEREAS, Sunset Park Place of Dubuque is planning a variety of activities to celebrate the "Assisted Living Week" which include the designation of a King and Queen and a Royal Party on Sept. 11th; a Professional reception on Sept. 12th) dlmil-Sept. 13th a special Luncheon and later an Open House with attendance by the Tri-State Classic Car Club; and on Sept. 15th, an Ice Cream Social; and WHEREAS, celebration of this special week will promote greater awareness of the brighter future that awaits each of us as we seek to age with dignity within our own community.
