This is a claim for reimbursement of medical expenses the
claimant incurred as a.result'of police officers failing to inform
proper authorities at . the Dubuque Humane Society that a cat they
dropped off had previo~sly bitten the claimant's daug;nter. T~e cat
was destroyed without being tested, thus necessitating rabies shots
for the child.
This claim has been referred to Public Entity Risk Services of
Iowa, the.agent for the Iowa Communities Assurance Pool.
