INTRODUCTION
The enclosed resolution approves the plans, specifications, form of contract and
estimate of costs for the City Hall— HVAC System Improvements Project.
BACKGROUND
The City Council scheduled a public hearing for approval of the plans, specifications,
form of contract and estimate of costs at the October 3, 2011 City Council meeting. The
engineer's estimate of costs is $600,000. The funding sources for this project will be
from the City Hall Remodeling CIP ($547,000) and ARRA funds ($43,000).
RECOMMENDATION
I recommend that the City Council approve the plans, specifications, form of contract
and estimate of costs for the City HaII —HVAC System Improvements Project.
ACTION TO BE TAKEN
The City Council is requested to plans, specifications, form of contract and estimate of
costs for the City Hall —HVAC System Improvements Project.

Whereas, on October 3, 2011, plans, specifications, form of contract and estimated cost
were filed with the City Clerk of Dubuque, Iowa for the City Hail —HVAC System
Improvements Project.
Whereas, notice of hearing on plans, specifications, form of contract, and
estimated cost was published as required by law.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF DUBUQUE, IOWA:
That the said plans, specifications, form of contract and estimated cost are
hereby approved as the plans, specifications, form of contract and estimated cost for
said improvements for said project.
