Dear Supervisor Smith:
The City received your August 2 correspondence with concerns about duplicate
road and street names in Dubuque County. The City of Dubuque shares your
concern.
The City of Dubuque presently submits all new street names to Emergency
Communications Supervisor Sandi Hutchcroft prior to approval to ensure their is not
duplication.
This should ensure that the City of Dubuque does not create duplicate street
names. In fact, I met with officials involved in the procedure and they advise that
it is working.
