SUBJECT: University Avenue Extension Project Property Acquisition - James
Newman
The City continues to attempt to acquire the James Newman property for the University
Avenue extension project. James Newman has appealed the Compensation
Commission award of $87,200. Corporation Counsel Barry Lindahl advises that Mr.
Newman has agreed to dismiss the appeal for an additional $5,800.
To expedite the project, I respectfully request Mayor and City Council consent for this
additional amount.
