Koch, Public Works Director 'If,J,);''z;;(j FROM: SUBJECT: Manson Road - Acceptance of Warranty Deed INTRODUCTION Enclosed is a resolution accepting a warranty deed for a right-of-way purchase on Manson Road. DISCUSSION . This deed is for the John H. Gordon property at 1650 Manson Road, as discussed and approved at the August 21, 2000 Council meeting by the adoption of Resolution No. 395-00. The parcel is needed .for the relocation of the bridge and roadway, and to provide necessary grading for the installation of sidewalks. Included is the following warranty deed: Owner Leaal Description John H. Gordon Lot 1-2-1-1-1-1-1-1-2-1-4 of Mineral Lot 501 in the City of Dubuque, Iowa The City has to negotiate remaining rights-of-way and easements for the project much smaller in proportion, after the preliminary design has been approved by the Iowa Department of Transportation. RECOMMENDATION The above property has already been purchased by the City, and the Warranty Deed should be accepted by the City Council. I would recommend adoption of the enclosed . resolution accepting the deed. . . .
