It is my great pleasure to inform you that the National Trust for Historic Preservation has
selected Roshek Redevelopment /the Dubuque Roshek Building to receive one of fourteen
National Preservation Honor Awards in 2011. The award is for the rehabilitation and
transformation of the former Roshek Brothers Department Store building into a modern
international call operations center and retail destination, spurring development in downtown
Dubuque, Iowa. On behalf of all of us at the National Trust for Historic Preservation,
congratulations!
We will announce this year's winners in Buffalo, New York, at the 2011 National Preservation
Conference. Please note that this information is em bargoed until e awards ceremony.The
ceremony highlighting the winners' achievements will to e place on Thursday, October 20,
2011, from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. at Kleinhans Music Hall in Buffalo. We would be honored to have
you join us at this celebration to accept your award. A copy of the preliminary program for
the conference is enclosed.
Leah Suhrstedt, our awards coordinator, will be in touch with you soon to provide additional
information about the Honor Awards program and to confirm the list of co- recipients that you
identified in your nomination, so that we may notify them as well.
