I am pleased to inform you that staff at the Iowa Economic Development Authority (IEDA) has reviewed
your application and approved the eligibility of Dubuque Convention & Visitors Bureau for FY12
Regional Sports Authority District Certification.
This is a preliminary determination only. The amount approved by IEDA is based on the estimates
provided for your project and is provided at this time solely for your information and convenience.
Neither this letter nor the IEDA's action shall be construed to create a contract, contract term, promise,
guarantee, assurance, or representation of the actual award you may expect to receive. The actual award
you may expect to receive is contingent upon all of the following: (1) the applicable statutory provisions
and administrative rules; (2) the terms of a formal, written contract entered into with the Iowa Economic
Development Authority; (3) the successful completion of all applicable project requirements. The award
is for a maximum amount of $50,000.
Soon our office will send you the necessary contract documents to finalize the terms and conditions of
your company's participation in this program. The contract documents must be signed by authorized
representatives of Dubuque Convention & Visitors Bureau and IEDA. You do not acquire any legal or
equitable rights until these documents have been executed. Until a contract is executed, IEDA has no
obligation to authorize funds for allowable project costs. If a contract is not signed, those costs will not be
reimbursed by IEDA.
