(ABE) and the City for the Water Pollution Control Plant (WPCP) Replacement Project (Project). The attached proposal will provide for ABE to perform six (6) test borings of 20 to 30 feet deep to further assess the extent of the outfall pipe deterioration. This amendment of $5,900 will be taken from the current contingency of $1,104,829.18. ACTION TO BE TAKEN Your execution of Amendment 2 to the June 6, 2009 ABE Professional Services Agreement is requested. COMPENSATION TERMS: Total cost for above scope of services will be $5,900. The field exploration cost presented above assumes all drilling will be in soil materials. Extra charges of $25.00 per foot will apply for drilling in hard limestone bedrock, if encountered. Consultation subsequent to completion of report at current engineering rates. REMARKS: Field exploration is scheduled to be conducted within the next few weeks when we have a drill crew in the Dubuque area as weather permits. A verbal report of our findings and initial recommendations will be available one week after drilling, followed one to two weeks later with the written report.
