Council met In Special
SessIon at 6:30 P.M. in the
Ubrary Auditorium
Present: Mayor Duggan,
Council Members Buol,
Cline, Connors, Markham,
Michalsl(l, Nlchol$on, City
Manager Van. Mllllgen
Mayor Duggan read the
call and stated this is a
special session of the City
Council called for the pur-
pose of discussing various
City departmental budgets.
The budgets for the fol-
lowing City Departments
were discuss~: Five Flags
Civic Center, Recreation
Divl$ion, Park DMsion, In-
formation Services Depart-
ment and Cable TV DM-
lion.
Civic Center: " leisure
Sei'vices Manager. GIf
Spenoe and SMG Interim
Manager Lee Crooks pro-
vided the Council with an
overview of activities and
planned renovations at the
Center.
Recreation Division:
Recreation Division Man-
ager Pat Prevenas provid-
ed an update on the vari-
ous improvements plan-
ned for Bunker Hili Golf
Course and emphasized
that the course will remain
open throughout the con-
struction period.
Information Services De-
partment: Markham ques-
tioned whether the City
had a reliable disaster re-
covery system in place
and Information Services
Manager Chris Kohlmann
explained the City's proc-
ess. Michalski thanked the
Information Services De-
partment staff for the user
support they provided.
Cable TV Division: In re-
sponse to question from
Buol, Cable Frenchise Ad-
ministrator Merrill Crewford
explained that the City has
no control over cost or
progrem content with re-
gard to what Medlacom
would Qffer in a basic
package.
There being no further
