Dear Mayor and City Council Members:
We the undersigned residents of Sunset Ridge Drive are requesting the City of Dubuque to
administer the assessment to property owners by frontage foot on Sunset Ridge Drive for
resurfacing work on our street. As you can see from the enclosed description, we have consulted
with River City Paving to identify specifications for the work to be done and have garnered
unanimous agreement among property owners as to those specifications.
In addition, we are requesting the City provide oversight of the project including selection and
hiring of a contractor. Moreover, it is our understanding that the city intends to add a storm drain
on Wartburg Place in FY 2001-02. In the event the resurfacing of Sunset Ridge takes place prior
to the Wartburg Place project" we are requesting interim management of storm water flow by use
of a catch basin or some other measure. It is our wish that the resurfacing project proceed as soon
as possible. Please advise us as to how we might expedite this request. Thank you for your
