Florence Hird 11/9/00 . 10/2/00 property damage This is a claim for damages to the claimant's basement door, which it sustained when the Dubuque police made a forced entry to do a welfare check on the claimant. According to the report of Acting Police Chief Terry Lambert, neighbors were concerned about the claimant because they had not seen her for some time, her mail was piling up and her car was in the garage. An 'officer was not able to get a response at the house, and he forced entry to the basement, causing minimal damage to a door. Acting Chief Lambert recommended payment of the claim. It is therefore the recommendation of the Legal Department that this claim, in the amount of $59.15, be paid by the Finance Director and submitted to ICAP for reimbursement. . . .-- /~ /:~~-<v) ~---~C--/-'?f/ /~~ BAL/cg/Enc. cc - Chief Kim Wadding cc - Assistant Chief Terry Lambert cc - Ms. Florence Hird 196 CYCARE PLAZA DUBUQUE IOWA 52001 TELE 319 583.4113 FAX 319 583.1040. e-mail bidesq@mwci.net .,. ~ ~ .. ~ Dubuque Police Department Law Enforcement Center P.O.
