INTRODUCTION
Dubuque
Al- America City
I
2007
The County Treasurer is disposing of excess parcels. They have offered some County
parcels for our review for purchase at a nominal fee of $15. If the City is not interested,
they will sell to the abutters or sell by sealed bids after November 26.
BACKGROUND
The attached maps marked "Yes" indicate the properties the City has interest. They are
generally described as follows:
1. Between Keystone and Keymeer west of Keyway Drive. (407 -025)
Reason: Existing North Fork Catfish Creek sanitary sewer and creek
maintenance.
2. East of West 11th Street at parking lot. (1024452 -001 & - 002)
Reason: Protection of City interests in abutting City parking lot.
3. Pine Street at Commercial. (1119501004)
Reason: Possible route for pedestrian trail.
4. West of Villa. (1025461008)
Reason: Possible route for future storm sewer project.
5. West of Cedar Cross Road, north of railroad tracks. (1027304001)
Reason: Existing sanitary sewer and abuts existing Cedar Cross Road right -of-
way.
DISCUSSION
Engineering has reviewed the maps and feels there are six (6) parcels at five (5)
locations that we should consider for various reasons. They are marked "Yes" on the
maps. There are no back taxes due on the parcels.
ACTION TO BE TAKEN
The County Treasurer's office needs to know our interest by Wednesday, November 23.
Please advise if the selections are acceptable or if you would like to discuss.
