Van Milligen, City Manager SUBJECT: 2011 Drain Tile Project (CIP 7201354) DATE: November 26, 2011 Dubuque kard All- America City I 2007 City Engineer Gus Psihoyos is recommending acceptance of the construction contract for the 2011 Drain Tile Project, as completed by Connolly Construction, Inc., in the final contract amount of $16,865.64, which Is a 25.8% increase from the original contract amount of $13,411.35. This increase was due primarily to additional connections and stone. The 2011 Drain Tile Project provided for the installation of 600 lineal feet of drain tile to direct storm water and sump pump discharge to stormwater intakes at Hilton Springs Drive and Key Way Drive. The recommendation of the City Engineer is approved and the Project is hereby accepted. Section 2. The Finance Director is hereby directed to pay to the Contractor from the Drain Tile Program appropriation for the contract amount of $16,865.64 Tess any retained percentage provided for therein as provided in Iowa Code chapter 573, and to pay such retainage only in accordance with the provisions of Iowa Code chapter 573.
