Dear Julie:
The City of Dubuque supports the efforts of Hillcrest Family Services to secure renewal
funding from HUD to continue to provide transitional housing and supportive services to
homeless families in Dubuque. This is the only program in the area that serves families,
including males older than age 12. We have been partners with Hillcrest in other
successful activities and believe that Hillcrest will continue to be successful in working
with homeless families in this type of setting.
The City of Dubuque, primarily through our Housing and Community Development
Department, will continue to work with Hillcrest staff within our own mission to provide
services to appropriate residents.
