Dan Sommers, President of the Operating Engineers Union, has informed me that the Union would
like to modify the Stipulation to include the classification of Account Clerk I. In addition and at the
suggestion of the attorney for the Public Employment Relations Board, we have modified the
language of the Stipulation related to exclusions. The language change clarifies who is excluded
but does not change the classifications that are excluded. I have reviewed the Stipulation and
recommend that we agree to the amended unit as described in the Stipulation. The requested
action is for the City Council to approve a motion authorizing you to sign the Stipulation of
Bargaining Unit as Amended.
If you have any questions, please feel free to call.
