RESOLUTION APPROVING PLAT OF SURVEY OF A PORTION OF RADFORD
ROAD RIGHT -OF-WAY
Whereas, there has been presented to the City Council of the City of
Dubuque, Iowa, a plat dated January 1, 1999, prepared by the City of Dubuque,
describing the retracement of a portion of Radford Road right-of-way;
Whereas, said plat conforms to the laws and statutes pertaining thereto.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF DUBUQUE, IOWA:
Section 1. That the plat dated January 1, 1999, prepared by the City of
Dubuque relative to the real estate hereinabove described by and the same is
hereby approved, and the Mayor and City Clerk be and they are hereby authorized
and directed to execute said plat for and on behalf of the City of Dubuque, Iowa.
Section 2. That the City Clerk be and is hereby authorized and directed to
file said plat and certified copy of this resolution in the office of the Recorder, in
and for Dubuque County, Iowa.

SUBJECT: Plat of Survey of a Portion of Right-of-Way of Radford Road
INTRODUCTION
.
This is in response to a State requirement to prepare and fife a plat for property surveys
which includes the retracement of existing boundary lines.
DISCUSSION
The attached plat shows the portion of Radford Road right-of-way that was retraced and
monumented as part of the Radford Road reconstruction project. The abutting properties
are Lot 1 of 3 and Lot 2 of 3 of Block 12 of Sunnsylope Estates and Lot 1 of the SW1/4
of the NE1/4 of Section 20, T89N, R2E, 5th P.M. all in the City of Dubuque, Dubuque
County, Iowa.
The reconstruction of Radford Road obliterated the existing property corners along this
section of roadway. The owner of the abutting lots requested the property pins be
replaced in order for proper placement of a fence on the lots.
The Dubuque County Recorder requires an "Owner's Consent" certificate to be attached
to all plats recorded in Dubuque County.
RECOMMENDA TION
I would recommend that the attached plat be approved and that the Mayor be authorized
and directed to sign the plat on behalf of the City.
ACTION TO BE TAKEN
. The recommendation should be approved through the adoption of the enclosed resolution.
