Re: Homelessness Prevention and Rapid Re- Housing Program
Grant Number: S09 -MY -19 -0005
Dear Mayor Buol:
I am sending this letter to remind the City of Dubuque that it must expend 100 percent of its
$502,294 Homelessness Prevention and Rapid Re- Housing Program (HPRP) award by the City's
grant expiration date of July 14, 2012. To meet the 100 percent expenditure requirement by
July 14, 2012, the City must spend an average of $12,998 per month.
The City may request technical assistance to resolve any challenges preventing it from
meeting expenditure requirements by submitting a request via the HPRP Virtual Help Desk on
HUD's Homelessness Resource Exchange, at www.hudhre.info /hprp.
If you have questions regarding this letter or would like to discuss strategies to increase
program spending in your community, you may contact Caroline Fernandez at (202) 402 -6106.
HUD appreciates the City of Dubuque's continued efforts to expend HPRP funds in a timely
manner.
Sincerely,
Mercedes Marquez
