8. Narrative Statement of Significance:
Historical Notes:
The back portion of Lot 9 was subdivided April 12, 1948 and this cottage was built. The Herbst family
bought the entire lot in 1944 and did the subdivision. The long shed west of the house is a contractor’s
shed that is historically associated with 2441 Broadway.
Peter Kiene Sr. owns when sewered 1897.
Michael Loeffelhoz buys 1953.
