Narrative Description: Architectural Style And Key Stylistic Elements: Tudor Revival two-story (with raised basement) brick apartment block, very richly ornamented design, stone entry surround, stone quoins, soldier/rowlock brick water table, soldier brick lintels, concrete foundation, tile diamond pattern parapet inserts with brick surrounds, tile coping Physical Description: U-shape core plan (57x73) with matching rear end wings, 10 units. Sanborn maps indicate concrete floors, tile walls with brick veneer. Alterations: 1928-erect 2 story brick veneer 13 apt. bldg-owner: Hyland Park Corp.-contractor: Henry Glassberg. Outbuildings: 10-unit garage, 4,500 sq. feet, 1923, she roof, frame, 20x87 Landscaping Notes: Shelf site with raised ground and stone retaining wall towards east end, fronts north, garages and alleyway to south. 8. Narrative Statement of Significance: Evaluation: Very nice design example prominently placed on the bluff top. Transitional building in neighborhood development. Designer/Contractor: Hyland Park Corp. owner/builder Henry Glassberg Historical Notes: The location for this apartment block is most unusual given its placement both within a higher-end residential neighborhood but also on the edge of a still undeveloped area.
