Late Victorian two-story side gable plan with offset two-story bay, side bay on first floor, wrap-around
porch, core gable roof combined with side gable front offset entry wing with first floor three-sided bay
recessed beneath hip roof porch, matching three-sided bay incorporated into the entry, cut corner on
southwest corner, similar plan to house to south
Physical Description:
39x40 core, squared plan to right and rear, irregular to left with front wing on front left

Historical Notes:
Charles Fawkes builds two-story frame dwelling, $1,800 in 1888 (Herald, December 23, 1888).
Offered for rent as 136 Ellis, contained six rooms, hall, bath, furnace, pantry, four closets for $18
monthly, interested parties were to contact “Fawkes at Glover’s (Herald, October 23, 1906).
P. F. Fawkes owns when sewered 1891.
