Historical Notes:
Catherine Morrissey owns when sewered 1891.
City Directory Notes:
Stines Grocery & Bakery first listed 1901 with the family residing above the store.
The bakery remained here but the family was living at 90 West Locust as of 1915. Dr. Oscar A. Knoll, a
dentist, lived upstairs. The Stines Bakery Company was here as late as 1927.
Historical Image Notes:
The 1891 Sanborn map shows a 1.5-story elongated cottage plan 107 West Locust and a single-story
square cottage to the south.
1909 Sanborn shows this building (bakery) with cornice, south side steps and a basement extension, a
two-story rear porch, and another extension and attached carriage house (107 West Locust).
1909/36 Sanborn shows a much larger L-plan two-story rear addition with an oven inset in the corner
and a large single-story garage (drug store).
