PROCLAMATION
Whereas, the citizens of Dubuque and the surrounding cities have for 52 years
been participants of the County Fair, and they support the 4-H and FFA
Youth and volunteers who share generously of their time and talents;
and
Whereas, the theme for the 2005 Dubuque County Fair is "The best six days of
summer!"; and
Whereas, the Fair is a community event that everyone can participate in, from
creative arts exhibition to the demolition derby. The many animals,
exhibits, demonstrations, programs and entertainment add up to a
unique recreational activity; and
Whereas, attendance at the Dubuque County Fair has reached almost 90,000 over
the six full days; and
Whereas, the Dubuque County Fair officially opens on Tuesday, July 26, and runs
through Sunday, July 31,2005
NOW THEREFORE, I, TERRANCE M. DUGGAN, MA YOR OF THE CITY OF
DUBUQUE, IOWA, DO HEREBY PROCLAIM THE WEEK OF JULY 26 TO July 31,
2005 AS:
"DUBUQUE COUNTY FAIR WEEK"
AND ENCOURAGE THE PARTICIPATION OF THE CITIZENS OF THE CITY OF
DUBUQUE, IOWA.
WITNESS THEREOF, I have hereunto
set my hand and caused the Great
Seal of the City of Dubuque, IA to be
affixed this 18th day of July, 2005.
