WHEREAS, student athletes competing at Loras College are among 180,000
students who play varsity sports in the NCAA's largest division; and
WHEREAS, Loras College Athletic Department is joining in the first nationwide
celebration of NCAA Division III Identity Initiative Week; and
WHEREAS, NCAA Division III student athletes play for the love of the game; and
WHEREAS, these students excel in the classroom and demonstrate leadership,
community service and campus involvement; and
WHEREAS Loras College students will participate in activities during NCAA
Division III Identity Initiative Week.
NOW THEREFORE, 1, ROY D. BUOL, MAYOR OF THE CITY OF DUBUQUE, IOWA, ON
BEHALF OF THE CITY COUNCIL, STAFF AND CITIZENS OF DUBUQUE, DO HEREBY
PROCLAIM THE WEEK OF APRIL 9 -15, 2012 AS
"NCAA DIVISION III IDENTITY INITIATIVE WEEK"
IN THE CITY OF DUBUQUE, IOWA.
IN WITNESS THEREOF, I have hereunto set
