The motion passed unanimously. Evelyn Nadeau was welcomed to the commission and Daykin and Blocklinger were congratulated on their re-appointments. !! was moved Qy Davkin. seconded Qy Lvness, to elect Gary Hariehausen, Chair: Paul Hoffmann. Vice-Chair: and Evelvn Nadeau. Secretary for 2005- 2006. The motion passed unanimouslv. !! was moved Qy Du~man. seconded Qy Hoffmann. to receive and file the letter from David Pins on the possible sale of the Southern Avenue property. The motion passed unanimouslv. !! was moved Qy Nadeau. seconded Qy Lvness. to receive and file the notice from ECIA on the visibilitv of Great River Road and Bluffland meetinQ. The motion passed unanimouslv. Leisure Services Manager Gil Spence spoke to the commissioners about the following: . Work has begun on Water Works Park; . Gateway Landscaping will begin July 12th; . Pyatigorsk Park construction will begin in August; . Harvest View ribbon cutting is July 18th; . Bergfeld construction will begin soon; . Comiskey Park tennis court/skate park contract will be awarded on July 18th; . Work on the Pet Park will begin soon. ~ . PARK DIVISION REPORT: RECREATION DIVISION REPORT: OTHER BUSINESS: ADJOURN; VOTE: July 12, 2005 meeting page two Park Division Manager John Hail shared the following: . Eagle Point Park entrance fee and pavilion rental fees are at the historic level; . installation of the Fulton School play unit has begun; . camping fees are setting record high levels. Recreation Division Manager Pat Prevenas shared the following: . Sutton Pool attendance in June was the highest since 1990 and Flora Pool attendance was the fifth highest . preliminary indications show the golf operation will have an $80,000 profit, McAleece concession operation has already yielded the profit projected for the entire season; . the spring activities report was reviewed. Board and Commission Picnic is scheduled for Monday, July 25th at Eagle Point Park. It was moved by Duggan, seconded by Hoffmann, that the meeting be adjourned at 5:05 p.m. The motion passed unanimously.
