Vehicle Damage
This is a claim in which the claimant alleges that while his vehicle was parked in front of
183 Nevada Street, a jackhammer fell from an Operations & Maintenance trailer, striking
the left rear tire of claimant's vehicle.
According to the report of John Klostermann, Street & Sewer Maintenance Supervisor,
Operations & Maintenance records indicate that crew members were involved in the
incident where the air compressor hammer caused damage to the tire of Mr. Stone's
vehicle as stated in his claim.
It is therefore the recommendation of John Klostermann to approve this claim for the
amount of the submitted estimate of $179.76. The Legal Department concurs with this
recommendation.

This letter will respond to the claim filed by Mr. Mark Stone.
Our records show that we were involved in the incident where the air compressor
hammer caused damage to the tire of Mr. Stone's vehicle as stated in the claim. It is
