Honorable Mayor Terry Duggan and City Council:
I am interested to see if I could acquire a portion of property in accordance with the City of
Dubuque vacating procedures. I have spoken with Ron Turner at the City Engineer's Office to
have the area checked for sewer utilities and was given a preliminary indication that the vacating
is favorable. The property is located in the southern portion of the AP W oads Addition. See
attached diagram. It runs adjacent to properties that I own which are plots 26A-015, 25A-014,
24B-013, and 24D-012.
The section of property that I am interested in includes Williams Street and the strip north of
Williams Street which I understand the City owns. The reason for vacating it would be for
further development of my properties.
If this is possible, I will work closely with the City Engineer's Office to obtain the written
consent of the abutting property owners.
