Dear Mike:
The strength of an organization depends on the participation and support of its members, and this is
particularly true for the Iowa League of Cities. Historically, the League has relied on committees as a
vehicle for member participation and assurance that League objectives are consistent with those of
our member cities. Toward that end, I am requesting that you serve on the League Policy Committee.
'"
The League Bylaws require appointment of at least ten members with the president-elect serving as
chair of this committee. Our tradition has been to balance the committee with experienced committee
members and those new to League participation. This committee meets twice a year.
Please feel free to call the League office or me if you have any questions. For your convenience we
have enclosed a response form that you can fax to the League office prior to December 1. You may
also call (515) 244-7282 or E-mail your response to tombredeweg@iowaleague.org. I hope you will
agree to serve.
Thank you, in advance, for your support of our League.
Sincerely,
/1~
