RONDAVOO (1850 CENTRAL AVE.)
This is the first renewal for this establishment. Since opening there have been 189 calls
for service to the establishment. Of those 189 calls there were a total of 55 high impact
calls for service - 43 disturbances, 5 crimes against persons, 3 crimes against property
and 4 public morals calls. Additionally, there were 47 individual violations and no
violations against the business.
Of the remaining 134 calls, there were a handful of traffic related calls, medical calls and
miscellaneous other police calls for service. The majority (approximately 113) of the
calls were "extra attention" calls where officers officially went out of service to monitor
the establishment, generally around the 2:00 a.m. bar closing time, or as otherwise
dictated by crowd size or activity. While these are officer generated calls and often do
not require further police action, they impact police resources and availability. The calls
are not generated by citizens or the establishment and therefore not noted in the above
43 high impact calls. However, based on the frequency and nature of the other calls for
service, the extra attention is a warranted use of police resources as a crime prevention
and crime deterrent tool, and are therefore noted in this report.
Correspondence has been sent to the establishment's owners to inform them of the
calls for service and to request their assistance in reducing the calls for service.
