Whereas, the citizens of Dubuque and the surrounding cities have for 59 years
been participants of the County Fair, and they support the 4 -H and FFA
Youth and volunteers who share generously of their time and talents;
and
Whereas, the theme for the 2012 Dubuque County Fair is "Apple Pies and Family
Ties "; and
Whereas, the Dubuque County Fair is a community event that everyone can
participate in, from creative arts exhibition to the demolition derby. The
many animals, exhibits, demonstrations, programs and entertainment
add up to a unique recreational activity; and
Whereas, attendance at the Dubuque County Fair has reached almost 80,000 over
its six full days; and
Whereas, the Dubuque County Fair officially opens on Tuesday, July 24, and runs
through Sunday, July 29, 2012.
NOW THEREFORE, 1, ROY D. BUOL, MAYOR OF THE CITY OF DUBUQUE, IOWA,
ON BEHALF OF THE CITY COUNCIL, STAFF, AND CITIZENS OF DUBUQUE DO
HEREBY PROCLAIM THE WEEK OF JULY 24 THROUGH JULY 29, 2012 AS:
"DUBUQUE COUNTY FAIR WEEK"
AND ENCOURAGE THE PARTICIPATION OF THE CITIZENS OF THE CITY OF
DUBUQUE, IOWA.
WITNESS THEREOF, I have hereunto
set my hand and caused the Great
Seal of the City of Dubuque, Iowa, to
be affixed this 16th day of July, 2072.
