Wadding~l Police Chief -~ TO: RE: Liquor License Renewal Approvals INTRODUCTION The purpose of this memorandum is to recommend the approval of the liquor license renewals for Jumpers Sports Bar 2600 Dodge, Yen Ching Restaurant 926 Main, HyVee Gas 2435 NW Arterial, Aldi's 2160 Century Drive, Point Restaurant 2370 Rhomberg, Grand Harbor Resort 350 Bell Street, Big 10 Mart 1875 John F. Kennedy Road, Bridge Restaurant 31 Locust and Aragon Tap 1103 Iowa. BACKGROUND Attached is the Dubuque Police Department Liquor Establishment Inspection form for each of the above businesses. Each business is evaluated regarding calls for service related to the individual and business citations/arrests concerning alcohol related violations. DISCUSSION Of the nine establishments requesting renewal, none experience citations/arrests in the past year associated with any liquor license violations. The calls for service appear appropriate for their business type. o o o o o o o o o 3 - Public Intoxication o o o o o o o o ~ Of the businesses listed, the Grand Harbor Resort experienced the most calls for service, of the 69 calls for service, 17- 911 hang ups, 11 - traffic assists, 12 - ambulance/fire response, 14 - crimes against property or persons (Theft, Harassment, Criminal Mischief, and court order violations), one alarm, two suspicious vehicle or person, two disturbances, one bomb threat, and nine assists. RECOMMENDATION As a result of the review, we recommend approval of the liquor license renewals for Jumpers Sports Bar 2600 Dodge, Yen Ching Restaurant 926 Main, HyVee Gas 2435 NW Arterial, Aldi's 2160 Century Drive, Point Restaurant 2370 Rhomberg, Grand Harbor Resort 350 Bell Street, Big 10 Mart 1875 John F.
