INTRODUCTION
The purpose of this memorandum is to provide information regarding a possible tour of the Dubuque Metropolitan Area Solid
Waste Agency's ( DMASWA) Landfill - and specifically of its Cell fh9 Construction Project
BACKGROUND
The Agency's $2,768,314 48 Cell #9 Project is well underway, with completion anticipated for early to mid- October Timely
completion of this project is essential to the Agency and its customers
DISCUSSION
You had suggested that the City Council might be interested in touring the project site, especially if installation of the cell's
composite liner was taking place at the time The Agency's project engineer believes that the Council's September 17th
meeting date would be the most likely date coinciding with the noted work
RECOMMENDATION
If the City Council does choose to tour the Agency's project, I recommend that such tour take place before its regular meeting
on September 17th at 4 30 p m
