1. Approve Minutes of May 26, 2005
Commissioner Wertzberger moved to approve the minutes of May 26, 2005.
Seconded by Kluesner, passed unanimously.
2. Establish Passing Point and Certify List for Position of Lead Applications/
Network Analyst Position
Kluesner moved to receive and file the communication from staff and to approve
the recommendation to establish the passing point for the position of Lead
Applications/Network Analyst as 69%. Seconded by Wertzberger, passed
unanimously. Kluesner moved to certified the list as read. Seconded by
Wertzberger, passed unanimously.
3. Establish Passing Point and Certify List for Position of WatetPollution
Control Plant Operator
Kluesner moved to receive and file the communication from staff and to approve
the recommendation to establish the passing point for the position of Water
Pollution Control Plant Operator as 56 and above correct answers. Seconded by
Duehr, passed unanimously. Wertzberger moved to certify the list as read.
Seconded by Kluesner, passed unanimously.
4. Certify List for Police Lieutenant
Wertzberger moved to receive and file the communication from the Police Chief
and approve the recommendation to not include the oral interview scores as a
part of the final score for the position of Police Lieutenant. Seconded by
Kluesner, passed unanimously. Wertzberger moved to certify the list for Police
Lieutenant as read. Seconded by Kluesner, passed unanimously.
5. Establish Passing Point and Certify List for Fire Equipment Operator,
Lieutenant, Captain, Assistant Fire Marshal, Assistant Chief, Medical
Officer and Emergency Medical Services Supervisor
Fire Equipment Operator - Kluesner moved to accept the recommendation of
VantagelMcCann Associates and to establish the passing score as 70 and
above correct answers. Seconded by Wertzberger, passed unanimously.
Wertzberger moved to certify the list as read and that the list be good for two
years. Seconded by Kluesner, passed unanimously.
Fire Lieutenant - Wertzberger moved to accept the recommendation of
Vantage/McCann Associates and to establish the passing score as 73.
Seconded by Kluesner, passed unanimously. Wertzberger moved that the list of
the top twelve candidates be certified as read and that two candidates be placed
on a reserve list and that the lists be good for two years. Seconded by Kluesner,
passed unanimously.
Fire Captain -- Kluesner moved to establish the passing score as 67 versus the
Vantage/McCann recommendation of 73. Seconded by Wertzberger.
Wertzberger moved that the list be certified as read and that the list be good for
two years. Seconded by Kluesner, passed unanimously.
Assistant Fire Chief - Wertzberger moved to accept the recommendation of
VantagelMcCann Associates and to establish the passing score as 71.
Seconded by Kluesner, passed unanimously. Wertzberger moved that the list
be certified as read and that the list be good for two years. Seconded by
Kluesner, passed unanimously.
Assistant Fire Marshall - Kluesner moved to accept the recommendation of
Vantage/McCann Associates and to establish the passing score as 70.
Seconded by Wertzberger, passed unanimously. Wertzberger moved that the
list be certified as read and that the list be good for two years. Seconded by
Kluesner, passed unanimously.
Medical Officer - Kluesner moved to accept the recommendation of Vantage/
McCann Associates and to establish the passing score as 77. Seconded by
Wertzberger, passed unanimously. Wertzberger moved that the list be certified
as read and that the list be good for two years. Seconded by Kluesner, passed
unanimously.
Emergency Medical Supervisor - Wertzberger moved to accept the
recommendation of Vantage/McCann Associates and to establish the passing
score as 71. Seconded by Kluesner, passed unanimously. Wertzberger moved
that the list be certified as read and that the list be good for two years. Seconded
by Kluesner, passed unanimously.
6. Request to Schedule Entrance Examination for the Position of Geographic
Information System (GIS) Coordinator/Analyst
Kluesner moved to receive and file the communication and to schedule an
entrance examination for the position of Geographic Information System (GIS)
Coordinator/Analyst with the exam being open to all City employees and the
general public, that the test be a questionnaire take-home style examination, the
list be good for two years and that the dates for requesting the test and for return
of the test be established by Personnel Manager Randy Peck. Seconded by
Wertzberger. Motion carried 3-0.
7. Request to Schedule Entrance Examination for the Position of Mechanic
This item was withdrawn from the agenda.
8. Request of Eric Degenhardt to take the Assistant Planner Test
Kluesner moved to approve the request of Eric Degenhardt to take the Assistant
Planner test, to extend the return date of the examination to July 15, 2005 at
5:00 p.m. and that the revised return date be applicable to all candidates.
Seconded by Wertzberger, passed unanimously.
There being no further business, the meeting adjourned at 3:40 p.m.
