CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSION

Present: Chairperson Merle Duehr, Commissioner Loras Kluesner, and Commissioner Dick
Wertzberger
Also Present: Personnel Manager Randy Peck, Police Chief Kim Wadding
1. Approval of Minutes of September 19, 2005
Wertzberger moved to approve the minutes of September 19, 2005 as written.
Seconded by Kluesner, passed unanimously.
2. Establish Passing Point and Certify List for the Position of Records Supervisor
Wertzberger moved to receive and file the communication from staff and to establish a
passing point for the position of Records at 56 and above answers (70%) as
recommended. Seconded by Kluesner, passed unanimously. Wertzberger moved to
certify the list as read. Seconded by Kluesner, passed unanimously.
3. Establish Passing Point and Certify List for the Position of GIS Coordinator
Wertzberger moved to receive and file the communication from staff and to establish
the passing point for the position of GIS Coordinator at 70% stating that the score will
mean that 11 of the 22 applicants who took the examination would achieve a passing
score. Seconded by Kluesner, passed unanimously. Wertzberger moved to certify the
list as read. Seconded by Kluesner, passed unanimously.
4. Request to Schedule Entrance Examination for the Position of Mechanic
Wertzberger moved to receive and file the communication from staff requesting to
schedule an entrance examination for the position of Mechanic with the exam being
open to all current City employees and the general public and the list to be good for two
years. Seconded by Kluesner, pass unanimously. Wertzberger moved to approve the
date for the application deadline as November 4, 2005 and the date of the examination
as November 17, 2005. Seconded by Kluesner, passed unanimously.
There being no further business upon motion the meeting adjourned at 11: 15 a.m.
