The library came in 1.7% under budget. We ended with a strong increase in business, even though this leveled off and decreased during the last 3 months of the fiscal year. We will most likely see a stabilizing of the business and maintain with a + or - 1 % change. • The growth area of check outs was realized in the adult collection, with an overall increase of 7 %. This was not in print, which was actually down 5 %, but in audio, music, DVDs, lap tops, and e- Books. Growth in downloadable audio was 15 %, but growth in a -Books was 382 %. It should be concluded by September 15. • Contact was made to the County Library to ask that a Library Board sub- committee and the Director be added to their next agenda. It will be administered in August by mail. We will also have an online questionnaire and have hard copies available in the library for those interested in participating that do not receive a survey in the mail. The survey will provide in -sight into users' satisfaction with the library as well as the issue of west side service. This is addressed by a ranking of the importance of services to the respondent with the intention that the demand for particular services will drive the delivery of the service.
