I wanted to personally thank you for graciously welcoming the Hamilton delegation to the City of
Dubuque; and, your willingness to take time out of a busy schedule to give us a tour of the City. I speak
on behalf everyone apart of the trip, when I say that we walked away impressed and motivated to drive
home change in our own community. We witnessed why you, and your city is truly deserving of your
numerous accolades. From the incline lift, the river museum, to the beautiful Mississippi River
tour, the presentations were insightful, and the intimate conversations that ensued engaging.
Thank you for the quality time spent with us. The enthusiasm taken from the visit has already
been put to work in developing an action plan. I especially enjoyed hearing about your goal
making engagement process and budget implementation.
I know the trip was put together in relatively short notice, and you being so accommodating
were truly appreciated.
As token of our appreciation, our City Council wishes to give the City of Dubuque a proclamation for
your gracious efforts in hosting the City of Hamilton in your exquisite city.
My sincere thanks,
Joshua A. Smith
