SUBJECT: Amendment to the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the City of
Dubuque and the International Union of Operating Engineers, Local #234
DATE: August 27, 2012
Personnel Manager Randy Peck is recommending approval of a ten hour per day and
four day work week for full-time Public Safety Dispatchers through September 30, 2013.
I concur with the recommendation and respectfully request Mayor and City Council
approval.

SUBJECT: Amendment to the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the City of
Dubuque and the International Union of Operating Engineers, Local #234
DATE: August 14, 2012
For several years we have amended Article XXVIII, Hours of Work and Article XXX,
Overtime Pay to provide for a work week that consists of ten hours per day and four
days per week for Full -time Public Safety Dispatchers. The amendments have been for
a one year period. The current amendment will expire on September 30, 2012. 1 have
prepared a new amendment that would become effective on October 1, 2012 and
continue through September 30, 2013. The requested action is for the City Council to
approve a motion authorizing you to sign the amendment.
