SUBJECT: City Council Meeting Date
In 2006, the first Monday of July is July 3. This is the traditional night of fireworks along
the riverfront for the 4th of July holiday. I believe attending a meeting on this date could
present a hardship for citizens.
I respectfully request that the regularly-scheduled City Council meeting of Monday,

ORDINANCE NO. 3-06
PROVIDING THAT THE FIRST REGULAR MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL IN
JULY, 2006, SHALL BE JULY 5, 2006
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF DUBUQUE, IOWA:
Section 1. Section 2-22 of the City of Dubuque Code of Ordinances
notwithstanding, the first regular meeting of the City Council in July, 2006, shall
be July 5, 2006;
Section 2. This Ordinance shall take effect upon publication.
