Dear Sirs:
Proposal to begin plowing snow from alley of 2500 block between Elm and Washington Streets.
Why doesn't the city plow this alley? Because of the Heritage Trail running down the middle of this block
of Elm Street there is no on-street parking for the odd side of the street and we have to park off this alley.
This alley is also the established route of our garbage pick up. The city plows Elm Street and the Heritage
Trail creating large drifts of snow along both sides of the trail. In order for us to park on the even side,
which was suggested by the city manager-and of which there is very limited parking spaces, we would have
to make our way through 2 four to five foot drifts to reach our houses. I feel that because of these
circumstances this alley should be plowed.
I plan to attend the January 17"' 2006 city council meeting to address this if needed.
