CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSION

Present: Chairperson Merle Duehr, Commissioner Dick Wertzberger
Absent: Commissioner Kluesner
Also Present: Personnel Manager Randy Peck, Recreation Division Manager Pat Prevenas
1. Approval of Minutes of October 19, 2005
Wertzberger moved to approve the minutes of September 19, 2005 as written.
Seconded by Duehr, passed unanimously.
2. Establish Passing Point and Certify List for Position of Mechanic
Wertzberger moved to receive and file the communication from staff and to establish a
passing point for the position of Mechanic at 70% as recommended. Seconded by
Duehr, passed unanimously. Wertzberger moved to certify the list as read. Seconded
by Duehr, passed unanimously.
3. Request to Schedule Entrance Examination for the Position of Golf Course
Supervisor
Commissioner Wertzberger moved to schedule an entry examination for the position of
Golf Course Supervisor, that the exam be open to current City employees, that the
request for application deadline be 5:00 p.m. on January 12, 2006 and returned
examinations must be postmarked by midnight on January 27,2006. He further moved
that the examination be a take-home test and that the list be good for two years.
Seconded by Duehr, passed unanimously.
4. Request to Schedule Entrance Examination for the Position of Truck Driver
Wertzberger moved to receive and file the communication of the City Manager and to
schedule an entrance examination for the position of Truck Driver, that the examination
be open to all current City employees and the general public and that the time limit for
the list be established at two years. Seconded by Duehr, passed unanimously.
Wertzberger moved that the date of the examination be February 1, 2005 at 6:30 p.m.
in the Five Flags Ballroom and that the deadline for applications be established as 5:00
p.m., January 16, 2005. Seconded by Duehr, passed unanimously.
There being no further business upon motion the meeting adjourned at 11 :13 a.m.
