RE: Envision 2010
Dear Mayor and City Council Members:
The Long Range Planning Advisory Commission has participated in the Envision 2010
community visioning process designed to generate ten community projects by 2010.
The Commission has followed the Envision Steering Committee's progress in generating
over 2,300 ideas, and then selecting the top 100, top 30, and top 10 ideas. As the
Commission begins the 2006 update of the Comprehensive Plan, the results of the
Envision 2010 community visioning process will be very helpful in evaluating the Plan's
goals and objectives.
The Commission would like to recognize the commitment of the Envision 2010 Steering
Committee, the sponsors, and the many volunteers for their efforts to successfully engage
citizens in this community visioning process.
